Social Club – Andrew Buenaflor aka “Nick Lurk” was born in 1988 in the Bronx. Nick moved to Las Vegas to study business administration at the College of Southern Nevada. Uninterested in the Vegas social scene, Nike spent most of his time on the NikeTalk forums and gained a following by posting relevant photos. Consisting of skinny jeans, graphic tees, long hair and a pair of rare Nike SB sneakers, his signature look has garnered a lot of attention on the site. After college, Nick took a part-time job at the Stussy store in Las Vegas, but quickly rose to become the brand’s general manager and eventually the brand’s head of social media marketing. During this time, he developed relationships with West Coast streetwear brands such as Undefeated and The Hundreds, eventually helping them with their marketing campaigns.
In 2014, Nicks relocated to Los Angeles due to increased marketing responsibilities at Stussy. Later that year, after a difficult breakup that left him heartbroken, Nicks designed a 6-panel cap with the phrase “I miss you” on the front and the Anti Social Club logo above his right ear. Shortly after the hats became available for purchase, Kim Kardashian was spotted wearing one during New York Fashion Week, causing the hat to sell out. Lightning struck twice when Nick started producing clothes and Kanye West was spotted wearing an Anti Social Club Mind Games hoodie. Like almost everything West wore, the hoodie sold out in no time, and suddenly Anti Social Club had a huge buzz surrounding it.
